A friend indeed

To all of my friends who care enough to read my blog I love you! This is a compilation of thoughts and words with my First Best Friend- the Holy Spirit. Thank You for loving me and thank You for loving me.

As I sat the other night with friends I was very intently listening to a conversation that was brought on by one friend who went to a friendship conference. Even though I appeared to be a little spaced from there talk I was in deep thought. My thought was, am I a good friend? As I pondered that I asked the Holy Spirit am I a good friend? Then in the moment I realized what I had said? The Holy Spirit brought this word to the forefront of my mind, A friend loveth at all times. I said to myself well I guess that is a no. Feeling a little taken back I continued to listen, I heard words like, vulnerable, what is your personality, what is your love language?, fear of opening up. The words all seemed so jumbled as they poured out into my mind but as I thought further I realized, am I vulnerable? yes and no, what is your personality? I really dont know? what is my love language? humm let me see?? even that I did not really know, fear of opening up? I dont think I would call it fear but most times I'd rather hold back. So the more I thought the more I got jumbled. I know! I need to analyzes these thing to become that perfect friend!!
I came to the conclusion that even if I was vulnerable or not vulnerable, even if I knew myself really well, If I figure out and charted my personality from research and smart peoples opinions that would not help me be a better friend. As I set down with my closest friend ever He told me again a friend loveth at all times. I also realized that it is not a good friend per say or a causal friend or a neighborhood friend it is a friend, period, that loves at all times. The One who saved me and teaches me lives inside of me and He is the only true friend and He loves me at all times and because of Him I can too and that is what I am striving for to be a better friend first to Him and then to others, who just plain loves. We are a friend of God. How crazy would it be if we are friends with the one who is friends with everyone and not be friends with choice others. Yeah guilty! talking about myself. Love is patient Love is kind and thank God that is what He is to me. Thanks a million Jesus.

P.S. If we can get the first commandment down then we can change the world Love the Lord(Adoni-Master and Lord) God with all of your heart, soul, and strength(everthing you got) and love( patient, kind, forgiving, compassionate, and on and on) your neighbor as yourself.

D's update

Wowsers! I can't believe it's been three months since we've last posted something on here! My children are growing up so fast! My lovely wife becomes more and more beautiful as the days pass. We have no more puppies so all we're left with are Gus and Chena. Lydia and I have decided to put an end to our husky breeding venture for the benefit of our children and our sleep! I now must focus on our yard and make it nicer for Lance and AnnElise. They deserve it. I am so proud of my children and love them so very much. They are truly a gift from heaven. The Lord has truly blessed this house hold. His hand is evident in our lives as well as our friends. Blessings to all! Until next time!

Hey There!
Well it has been a short 5 weeks and a wonderful journey of husky raising. My pups will be 6 weeks old next week and we will soon send them off with a leash,bag of food and a blessing with there new caregivers. We had a successful 7 puppy litter this go-around, four boys and 3 girls.
Looking forward to next week to start a new bible study of the book of Daniel. I am ready for a deeper dive into the word this year and that should give me a upstart into deepness.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the birthday party for my children especially the wonderful company.

Had company today! Had a friend from church who bought a puppy last year come over to see our new litter. That was nice to see the children play again with the puppies.

My Daddy will be missed for the next Month since he is on a business trip in Holland along with my baby brother. I will also miss my Mother who will be off to the West to see family for a couple of weeks.
Looking forward to relaxing with family on this wonderful cold Sunday.

Party Time!

Today we celebrated Lance and AnnElise's birthday! We had a great family birthday celebration...and a few friends, too :) We can't wait to post pictures so you can see the beautiful cakes Aunt Momo made them; Lance's was a scratch chocolate cake with his name in blue icing, and AnnElise's was a yummy strawberry confection decorated in pink and peach frosting flowers! Later, they had a Transformers pinata that we all took a swing at...ultimately ending in a candy hurricane...EVERYWHERE. FUN :) Of course, we all enjoyed watching them tear open their gifts...the childlike wonder in their eyes is always an inspiration to sit back, take a deep breath, and take in the world around us. Children are such a blessing!

Jenn made me join blogspot...it's true.

So, Kenny and Jenn Sinclair came over tonight. We held puppies, ate dinner, drank coffee and played Wii boxing. At that point, Jenn and I got bored...so I joined blogspot (after searching youtube for various entertainment). You can too! It's totally free...and totally satisfying! This way...we can ALL keep in touch...Hoorah! (By the way, not only did Jenn join blogspot for me, but she is also writing my first blog.) Photos below...off to Taboo!
